Overview:The Per Diem Pharmacist appropriately dispenses prescribed drugs, handles incoming physician calls, logs data into the computer, performs Rx workflow processing, and conducts drug utilization reviews.This is a per diem, clinic-based opportunity located in Abilene, TX partnered with Big Country AIDS Resources (426 Butternut St.)The pharmacy is open Mon -Thurs: 8am-5pm, and Fri. 8:30am-3pm. The work schedule for the position will vary as needed during those days/times.Flexible per diem schedule. No evenings or weekends!Great opportunity to broaden your pharmacy experience and earn extra income!About the Role:Properly dispense, order, and maintain proper inventory of drugs and supplies, pursuant to all state and federal lawsMaintain the highest quality of pharmaceutical care and servicesAssist with managing pharmacy operations and supervising team membersCollaborate with physicians to discuss potential incompatibility issues with patient prescriptionsEnsure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the practice of pharmacyKeep abreast of changing laws, regulations, and new pharmacy-related programsUphold a clean, customer-friendly workplace, and always project a positive attitudePerform in accordance with company policies and standardsEmbrace and perform in the spirit of the companys core values and goalsPerform other related duties as assignedAbout You:Bachelors or Doctoral (PharmD) degree in Pharmacy from an accredited universityPharmacist license in good standing in the State of Texas1+ years of full-time retail or clinic pharmacy experience preferred340B experience and/or AAHIVP certification preferredBilingual in Spanish is a plusExcellent interpersonal, customer-service, managerial, and communication skillsAble to effectively work with, mentor, and supervise pharmacy staffAt Avita Care Solutions, compassionate care is at the heart of everything we do.
