Job Description:
A company is looking for a Coder II (Inpatient) to work remotely
during the day.
Key Responsibilities
Review and interpret health record documentation to assign accurate
codes and DRGs for inpatient billing
Calculate MS-DRG, Severity of Illness, and Risk of Mortality levels
according to coding guidelines and compliance policies
Collaborate with Clinical Documentation Specialists to enhance
coding accuracy and documentation quality
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Completion or training in ICD-10 CM/PCS with 95% accuracy
required
2 years of inpatient coding experience in an acute hospital setting
required
AHIMA or AAPC coding credentials (CCS, CCS-P, CCA, CPC) required
upon hire
RHIT or RHIA preferred upon hire
